Start here to read the full story of how Brian and I met and this site came to be, as told by our messages to each other from 07-09-25 to 12-29-25. Messages are broken up into "chapters" and published chronologically. There will be approximately 15 chapters in total.

Notes:

• Ignore the estimated reading minutes. These posts are chalked full of screenshots.
• Some early screenshots are missing a few lines here and there. Unfortunately, those messages have already been erased by the system. I've filled in the gaps to the best of my recollection.
• Screenshots reflect my point of view when sending and receiving messages, but this does not always match what Brian sees. All of our messages are subject to review. How long it takes for each message to land on the other's device is determined by current department of corrections policy, the content of each message, technical issues, and acts of god.
• Personally identifiable information for any non-public persons has been censored.
